This document provides an English reference translation. In the event of any discrepancy with the Japanese text, the Japanese text shall prevail.

About the Fediverse Server Terms of Use

The "Fediverse Server Terms of Use" sets forth the arrangements for user registration and server operation when a website operated by Kuropen's personal project "Eternie Labs." is a Fediverse server.

Scope of Application

These guidelines apply to Fediverse servers whose URL domain names end with the following:

  • eternie-labs.net
  • kuropen.org
  • kuropen.me

Definitions of Terms

  • This Service: Refers to the website to which these guidelines apply.
  • Server Administrator: Refers to Kuropen.
  • Moderator: Refers to the server administrator or a person designated by the server administrator who has content management authority.
  • Fediverse Server: Refers to Misskey, Mastodon, or other servers capable of inter-server communication using the ActivityPub protocol.
  • Remote Service: Refers to other Fediverse servers connected to This Service.
  • User: Refers to a user who posts UGC to This Service. However, in this document, users who have an account on a remote service and whose posts are indirectly sent to this server are distinguished as "Remote Users."

Unavailable Regions

You must not access to This Service from following regions:

  • Mississippi and Texas in the United States
  • The United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Member states of the European Union

User Registration

  • User registration for This Service is by invitation only. Registration requires an invitation code issued by the server administrator or a user who already has an account on This Service.
  • Registration for This Service is limited to individuals aged 16 or older. Users must prove their age if requested by the server administrator.
  • We refuse registration for This Service to those who have a relationship with anti-social forces (e.g., crime syndicates, companies related to crime syndicates, corporate racketeers, groups masquerading as social movements, special intelligence violence groups).
  • If you already have an account on This Service (including those that have been frozen), multiple account registrations are not permitted. However, this excludes accounts used for bot development/operation that comply with the following requirements, or cases where special permission has been obtained from the server administrator:
    • The account must be given a bot flag.
    • The account must not make posts with a "public" scope.
    • The account must not make posts that mention targets that do neither follow nor mention.
  • Registration for This Service is limited to those who primarily post in Japanese or English.
  • Information used for login authentication to This Service must be managed appropriately and must not be used by third parties. Even if used by a third party, the account holder is responsible for the results arising from actions performed using that account.
  • The use of anonymizing services like Tor or public VPNs is prohibited when registering for This Service.

Content Posting Guidelines

Regarding rights and prohibited matters concerning content posted on This Service, such as profiles and notes, the separately defined "UGC Guidelines" shall apply.
Note that the UGC Guidelines shall, in principle, also be applied to the Remote Users.

Prohibited Actions Other Than Content Posting

In addition to what is stipulated in the UGC Guidelines above, the following actions are prohibited.

  • Not or falsely setting the birthday field of the profile page of an account, unless it is given a bot flag. If the birthday shown is suspicious, evidence of the age will be required, or the account will be suspended.
  • Actions that place an excessive burden on This Service, such as unnecessarily frequent reloads.
  • Directly contacting the developers of the software used on This Service without the permission or instruction of the server administrator.
  • Use of functions such as APIs of This Service to collect or analyze posts by Remote Users.
  • Any other actions that may interfere with the smooth operation of This Service.

Disclaimer

This Service is provided "as is," and while we strive to maintain and improve its quality as much as possible, we make no warranties whatsoever.

The server administrator shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users due to their use or inability to use This Service.

Disclaimer Regarding Inter-Server Communication

  • Inter-server communication may not be reflected as intended or may be significantly delayed due to network conditions or differences in specifications between servers. The server administrator shall not be held responsible for any misunderstandings caused thereby.
  • Some remote services have a function to edit posts. However, this server's system does not support the reflection of edited information, so old information will be displayed.
  • For remote services that can be registered and used by the general public, and where moderators do not exist or respond, communication will be blocked in principle.

Disclaimer Regarding Foreign Laws

The server administrator will, in principle, not respond to obligations imposed by foreign laws (laws and regulations enforced in jurisdictions other than Japan) or rights of users recognized under foreign laws.

Disclaimer Regarding Rollbacks

In the event of a failure on this server, the server administrator may restore all content on the server to its state prior to the failure.

Users agree that if this occurs, all content added or changed after the restoration reference time will be lost, and they cannot claim their preservation.
